Major Moscow's Strikes Cut Power Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities under attack in the region
The country's power facilities have faced increased attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were injured while residents in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and dealt with problems to water systems, as stated by municipal leaders.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, as reported by area administrators.

Moscow has increased attacks on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while officials has called for "concrete actions" from partner nations to increase pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but strong steps - from the America, Europe and the major economies - in providing air defence systems and implementing restrictions," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and over thirty missiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such attacks as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Russia was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were striving to restore power.

A wave of strikes struck energy infrastructure and apartment buildings in the capital.

Five out of the nine people injured in the assaults on the capital have been taken to hospital, per statements from municipal representatives.

Regional authorities said the city experienced heavy assaults throughout the evening. A young boy died and several individuals were injured.

The assaults come after evenings of air raids in the territory, portions of which remain under the control of invading troops.

The entire country is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to spot.

Government officials told reporters that Moscow was deliberately attempting to destroy the national power system, with strikes already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

He said technical personnel and authorities were bracing for more assaults.
